Dam to Dam Run

Enhancing runner performance through effective information design

At NRC, research was conducted on the annual Dam tot Dam Run, revealing intriguing insights into running performance. The findings show that runners who start slower than their average speed are more likely to achieve faster overall times. Additionally, starting position plays a significant role in pacing: runners at the front of the starting line tend to begin at a pace faster than their average speed. These patterns were visualized in a compelling way, and my task was to design these visuals so that they are clear and easily understood by the article’s readers.
